So, it is Christmas eve. The kids are tucked into bed, the presents laid out under the tree. Milk and cookies have been placed for Santa; carrots for the reindeer. In all it has been a busy day and now it is time for a rest. Skating just seemed to be a needed return to tradition for this winter holiday, after which it was off to grabbing some last minute gifts before heading to a candlelight service in the evening. Then one gift each was passed around before we finished preparing for santa and getting ready for breakfast tomorrow.
Not to ignore a true tradition of our family … Owen decided that just before bed he would toss his cookies all over mom. Gee thanks Owen!
We are so excited for tomorrow … aren’t you?

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
Merry Christmas to everyone … I think I have comments working again … woo hoo!
Can I leave a comment yet?
Yippee, it is working! Good job hun.
Great job on the blog, the great pics and of course the dialogue!
I am so glad that Santa found your house! How could he resist those fabulous goodies for himself and Rudolf too!
Skating looks like such fun…next time I come down I would love to go with you.
Love you lots,
mom/grandma

It was great spending time with you on Christmas morning. Grandma H was really blown away with the technology that allowed us to spend Christmas with you and yet be so far away. Wow! we’ve come a long way in her lifetime.
There was a big avalanche near Fernie. 8 snowmobilers were killed – all from the town of Sparwood just 15 minutes east of Fernie – all between the ages of 20 and 30 with young families. It is such a tragedy.
Have a Happy new year!
